ARE YOU COMPLIANT?

Ensuring your employment records are compliant with employment and industrial relations laws not only contributes to running a successful practice – it’s the law.

The Employment Records Health Check is ideal for practices concerned that they may have compliance gaps, workplace issues that suggest a shortfall in records, and for start-up practices who want to get employment documentation right the first time.


DESK-TOP AUDIT

An AMA Victoria expert will review a representative sample of each type of employment document to gauge the compliance with employment and industrial relations laws. Documents to be reviewed include:

  • employment records
  • letters relating to employees
  • employment policies, and
  • written employment contracts of non-medical staff

A detailed report will be provided which identifies the degree of your practice’s compliance with the documentary/record keeping requirements based on the reviewed sample, along with recommendations to achieve compliance, in the following legislation:

  • Workplace Relations Regulations 2006 (Cth)
  • Accident Compensation Act 1985 (Vic)
  • Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic)
  • Equal Opportunity Act 1995 (Vic)
  • Long Service Leave Act 1992 (Vic)
  • Public Holidays Act 1993 (Vic)

UPDATE YOUR RECORDS

For practices that are found to have non-compliant records, an AMA Victoria representative is available to consult with you on-site to help update and maintain your records to achieve compliance.

The Employment Records Health Check provides an extra service to members who require more detailed attention and support services than AMA Victoria IR Advisers can supply over the phone.

Fees range from $250 to $600 for a Desk-Top Audit (AMA Victoria members enjoy a 10% discount), depending on the complexity and quality of records provided. An hourly rate applies to a consultant engaged to update your records on-site.
